1. Service provider

This Is Us Events — DJ and entertainment services. Providers: Nuno Cunha and Sergio Gomez, based in Vila do Conde, Portugal. Contact: hello@thisisusevents.pt.

2. Scope of contract

These terms govern the provision of DJ and musical entertainment services for private and corporate events, including weddings, ceremonies, parties and DJ sets, as agreed in the quote accepted by the client.

3. Booking and payment

The date is only confirmed upon receipt of the agreed deposit (generally 30–50% of the total) and signature of the service contract.
The remaining balance is due on the agreed date, usually up to 7 days before the event.
The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the client, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, MBWay and cash.

4. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation by the client more than 90 days in advance: loss of deposit.
Cancellation between 30 and 90 days: loss of deposit + 25% of the remaining balance.
Cancellation less than 30 days: 100% of the total amount is due.
Date changes are subject to availability and may involve a price difference.
Cancellation due to force majeure (declared pandemic, natural disaster): parties will negotiate in good faith for an alternative solution.

5. Provider obligations

Arrive at the agreed venue with the necessary equipment and at the stipulated time.
Deliver the service professionally, following the musical guidelines agreed with the client.
In the event of inability due to illness or force majeure, the provider commits to presenting a replacement of equivalent quality or fully refunding the amount paid.

6. Client obligations

Ensure adequate access to the venue for equipment setup and breakdown.
Inform about volume or noise restrictions imposed by the venue or local authorities.
Ensure the DJ has food and, where applicable, accommodation, as agreed.
Not require the DJ to play music that may infringe copyright or conflict with the venue's conditions.

7. Intellectual property and recordings

The client authorises This Is Us Events to photograph or record excerpts from the event for portfolio and social media purposes, unless otherwise expressly stated. The client may request that images or videos not be published at any time.

8. Liability

This Is Us Events is not liable for damage caused by third parties, venue infrastructure failures (electrical, acoustic), or situations beyond its reasonable control. The maximum liability of the provider is limited to the total value of the contract.

9. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties commit to attempting an amicable resolution. Failing agreement, the competent court is the district court of Vila do Conde.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated periodically. The version in force is always the one available on this page. The signed contract prevails over these general terms in the event of discrepancy.
