1. Who we are

This Is Us Events is a DJ company based in Vila do Conde, Portugal, comprising Nuno Cunha and Sergio Gomez. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us at hello@thisisusevents.pt.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following data when you fill in our contact form or use the client area:

Name and second contact name (where applicable)
Email address and phone number
Event information (date, venue, type, number of guests)
Musical preferences and planning information provided voluntarily
Client area login credentials (email + hashed password)

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively for:

Responding to your quote request
Managing and planning your event
Sending event-related communications (confirmations, reminders, documents)
Issuing invoices and managing payments

We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, nor do we share it with third parties except where strictly necessary for service delivery.

4. Google reCAPTCHA

This site uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software data (including device and application data) and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored in a secure database hosted within the European Union. Passwords are stored with bcrypt hashing. We use HTTPS for all communications. Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations (generally 5 years after service completion, as required by Portuguese tax law).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
Request deletion of your data
Object to the processing of your data
Lodge a complaint with the CNPD (National Data Protection Commission)
